The Breton
The project
The Breton is a 700 plus unit luxury rental community on the Bayonne, NJ waterfront, 30 minutes from Manhattan. Two buildings, a full amenity program across both, and a pool deck on the water.
HH Designers was engaged at the master planning stage. We worked alongside the developers and an incredible architecture team from the first site plan through completion. Exterior color and material direction. Every interior. Furniture selections. The final install details and finishes.

Master plan to facade
Our involvement started before the interiors existed. With the architecture team we shaped the exterior palette: warm brick, black metal, and crisp white panel, composed so the buildings read as a collection of facades rather than a single block. The street presence feels established on day one.
The residences
Studio, one and two bedroom homes designed for life on the water. Flat panel cabinetry in a warm walnut tone, quartz counters, and stainless appliances in the kitchens. Wide plank flooring throughout. We selected the furniture and styled the residences that do the leasing.
Two buildings of amenities
The amenity program spans both buildings. A co-working lounge with private conference rooms. A resident lounge with demonstration kitchen and fireplace. A private event room. A golf simulator. Fitness centers with floor to ceiling water views. A rotunda lounge wrapped in glass at the arrival corner.
Outdoors on the water
Outside, the program keeps going. A pool and sundeck on the water. Courtyards with grilling pavilions, pergolas, fire pits, and outdoor TVs. A waterfront lawn under string lights. A promenade that runs the length of the site.
Down to the final install
We carried the project through to the end. Furniture, lighting, art, and the final install details and finishes that make 700 plus homes feel like one coherent place. From the first master plan meeting to opening day, one design voice.
